Types of multimedia

Graphics- use the school logo or use the schools colours, the purpose is to add a professional look and the target audience, parents and new starters to the school that are interested in doing dance and drama that it is a professional department, this information and graphics will be able to be view on both a MAC and a PC.

Video- I will film some children acting/dancing I can also interview Sally Harris as she is head of the department and can give insight into what this subject’s impact to the Kingswood school is. A video will target both parents and GSCE started that are choosing their options , this video is to persuade the target audience to choose to either put their children into the school or persuade GCSE starters to choose drama or dance as a subject.

Text- I can have a quote from the head of the department letting parents see what the subject is all about this also provides information to the students as to what sort of work they will be looking at as they pass through the years such as GCSE work will be different to A-LEVEL work as its will challenge them and persuade them to carry on to higher years.

Images- if I use picture of students performing or picture of dancers or a group photo of all the teachers in the drama/dance department, these images would be targeted at KS3 students as they will start getting into the more practical work in GCSE years rather than beforehand they will have just been doing mostly theory work and this could put them off doing this subject at GCSE or A-LEVEL, the purpose of these images are to sell the department to KS3 students these could also be view on a MAC  or a PC.

Audio- I could use music for the background of my video or have sounds for either dancers feet during the video or have a knock at the door as part of a play etc… the purpose of this is just to enhance the material I already would've collected such as the video or text or the images.

Animations- animations can be used in my work as a sort of humor based selling point or to show various different attitudes through the department these will be created entirely on the computer and would be able to get viewed from both MAC and a PC, the target audience for the animation would most probably be the younger years as it would catch their attention more. 

These would all be user friendly and be clear to use on the schools website.
